Janet Jackson is pregnant with her first child, just weeks before her 50th birthday, Entertainment Tonight reported Wednesday. The news comes a month after Jackson announced she would postpone her tour to “focus on her family” with husband Wissam Al Mana.
Jackson’s initial postponement in early April–in which she said she was under doctor’s orders to rest–led fans to worry that she was dealing with something scarier, such as cancer. As a young child I went looking through my mom’s records and came across a record that read The Jackson five, I played the record and hear the soft and sweet voice of a young Michael Jackson. The song made me fall in love with his voice and every since then I was hooked.
When I hear Michael Jackson I would cry and shout with happiness. Michael Jackson was the first person I listened to and was a complete fan from the age of 5.
When Thriller was released my step dad got me a copy and I played that cassette day and night 24/7. Everyone that knows me knows how crazy about Michael Jackson I was/am. He was my idol, My everything. His music kept me in a zone. Another world so that I can not think of my reality.
Not only did his music make me dance and cry it made me feel good.
And even after years and years and me growing up and having children who also love him I never once stopped adoring him or his music. My love for him is real then and even more now.
The day he passed I was at home and a friend called me asking did I hear the news about Michael Jackson. She stated he had a heart attack and I was in denial. Thinking oh he will be alright. But when I got online a news article stated he has passed away.
I just remember seeing the title flash and I was stuck in a zone. Tears then began to flow and my heart sank.
That same year I lost my mom and my grandma, Two of the most important women of my life and to turn around and lose the man I have looked up to since the age of five was devastating. I cried for hours upon hours and it took me over a year before I could listen to him or watch him on TV.
So after six years I want to say continue to Rest in heaven Michael Jackson. We the fans miss you, adore you, and love you. Thank you for the music, videos, dancing, and love. You are forever the king of pop and forever in our hearts.
