The Unbreakable Tour is now The State of the World Tour.
Janet Jackson has rescheduled her tour dates and rebranded the trek, which was postponed last year when she became pregnant at age 49. Now she’s a mom, newly single and ready to bring her hits back to the stage.
Jackson will perform Saturday, Nov. 4 at 8 p.m. at the KeyBank Center in Buffalo. It is her only Upstate New York stop.
Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through the KeyBank Center box office, by phone at 1-888-223-6000, and online at tickets.com. Prices are $125.95, $85.95, $55.95 and $39.95.
“I’m continuing my tour as I promised,” Jackson said Monday night.
The singer, who turns 51 this month, had previously been scheduled to perform in 2016 at the Blue Cross Arena in Rochester and at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC) near Albany. It’s unclear if those shows will be rescheduled.
According to Rolling Stone, 56 dates have been set for the new tour despite postponing more than 70 shows last year. Jackson didn’t elaborate on the schedule, but explained why she rebranded her concerts.
“I decided to change the name of the tour: State of the World Tour,” Jackson said. “It’s not about politics. It’s about people, the world, relationships, and just love.”
She also told fans about life with a newborn baby and confirmed that she has separated from Wissam Al Mana, her husband of five years. They plan to divorce.
“We are in court and the rest is in God’s hands,” she said in a short video.

Is Janet Jackson gearing up to hit the road again? If new Ticketmaster listings hold true, then the answer could be… “yes.”
The 50-year-old legend made headlines the world over last April when she halted her ‘Unbreakable World Tour’ to “plan a family.”
Jackson was pregnant and this January gave birth to son Eissa Al Mana.
And while fans were told to hold on to their tickets ahead of the rescheduling of dates, folk weren’t expecting to see Jackson back in action soon.
Now, it appears she may be on the comeback trail much faster than initially thought.
A sect of observant ticket holders noted a change in their Ticketmaster accounts as pertains to the show.
Boasting new dates, some listed in September and others through to December, the trek is listed as the ‘Janet Jackson: State Of The World Tour.’
The name is lifted from a track on her mega-selling and critically acclaimed ‘Rhythm Nation’ album.
Could these be real shows or merely placeholder dates? Time will tell. But whatever the case, it would appear Jackson is is readying…something.
The news comes at a pivotal time for the superstar singer.
As widely reported, she recently separated from husband of five years Wissam Al Mana; with confirmation coming just three months after the birth of Eissa.
She is in the throes of a split from husband Wissam Al Mana, but Janet Jackson looked happier than ever as she emerged for the first time with her baby boy Eissa.
The singer, 50, who gave birth to her first child three months ago, beamed with pride as she strolled around a London park on Wednesday.
She gazed adoringly at her baby boy as she pushed him in a high end Stokke pram accompanied by a female companion.
She was dressed in an all-black tracksuit and matching sneakers.
The Rhythm Nation star separated from her Qatari billionaire husband of five years earlier this month.
Sources now claim that cultural differences took a toll on their relationship.
‘Wissam wanted a wife who stuck more with the Muslim traditions,’ a source told Us Weekly.
‘She felt like she couldn’t be herself anymore,’ shared the insider. ‘She couldn’t settle down and be what he wanted her to be. Janet wanted more freedom.’
The source added: ‘Janet felt hidden away from her family. She missed them.’
Since the news of her marriage split, Janet has been seen a couple of times in London after being somewhat out of the limelight during her marriage.
‘It’s really unusual to see her out of the house because she hardly seems to venture out at all,’ a source told People Wednesday.
‘Apart from a few people, she hasn’t really had any visitors,’ the source added. ‘After the baby was born, Wissam was at the house all the time, but in the past month, he’s barely been there at all.’
However, on Tuesday Wissam was seen arriving, along with his entourage, at the townhouse he shared with the star.
He delivered two huge bags of toys, as well as a number of balloons, before leaving the mansion with a bag and a suitcase and being driven away in a chauffeured car.
The sister of the late Michael Jackson wed Al Mana, reputed to be worth more than $100 million, in 2012 and their son was born on January 3.
It’s been reported that the couple’s pre-nuptial agreement stated that a substantial financial payout would only be payable if the marriage lasted five years.
Since it’s believed that they wed in early 2012, Janet cold now be entitled to a substantial chunk of Al Mana’s fortune.
