Janet Jackson Extends ‘State of the World’ Tour With New U.S. Dates
She returned to touring last fall following the birth of her son Eissa.
And on Monday, Janet Jackson announced she’s adding 11 new U.S. dates to her State of the World Tour this summer.
The 51-year-old star also shared a series of photos to her Instagram to promote the news showing her looking incredible in a layered ensemble.
Janet wore her caramel locks up in a top knot that spawned a long ponytail in the photos taken by her go-to photographer Solaiman Fazel.
She was dressed in a shiny yellow Varsity jacket over a white tank top and light blue coveralls that she wore half undone with the top falling down at her waist.
She tucked the baggy trouser legs into dark blue peep-toe ankle boots with red kerchiefs knotted around the tops.
Janet’s ensemble is completed with a sea-green shirt knotted around her waist and a blue and white plaid scarf dangling from her waist as well.
The natural beauty rimmed her eyes with black kohl and mascara and wore her brows drawn in at an angle.
Dark blush highlighted her cheekbones and she added ruby red color to her lips.
Janet announced in April 2016 that she was pregnant with her first child and postponed her planned tour that year to focus on her family.
She and her Qatari businessman husband Wissam Al Mana welcomed their son Eissa on January 13, 2017.
Just a few months later, in April 2017, the couple announced they were separating and planned to divorce.
The Rhythm Nation hitmaker went back on the road last September for a three months series of concerts.
The latest leg of her State of the World Tour will kick off in Austin, Texas, on July 11 and will include stops in Arizona, Ohio, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina and Florida, ending in Tampa on August 7.
General public tickets go on sale starting this Friday via Live Nation.
